Accessibility statement
Updated October 6, 2026
We aim to make the guides and tools usable with a keyboard, screen reader and a range of screen sizes. This statement describes implemented features and known limits; it is not a claim of independently certified conformance.
Reading and navigation features
- A skip link leads to the main content.
- Pages use descriptive headings and a visible keyboard focus indicator.
- Article diagrams have text alternatives and explanations in the article.
- The footer offers standard, large and extra-large text controls.
- Guide summaries have an optional browser read-aloud button.
- Menus and FAQ answers use native disclosure controls.
Tables and tools
Wide reference tables may need horizontal scrolling on small screens. Tool inputs have labels. A diagram is accompanied by textual explanation so its meaning does not depend solely on color. The core articles and policy pages remain readable without JavaScript; interactive filters and calculations require it.
Known limits
Browser speech synthesis and available voices vary by device. Third-party source documents may have accessibility limitations outside this site’s control. Automated checks and responsive reviews cannot identify every barrier; assistive-technology testing and reader reports are still needed.
Report a barrier
Use the contact channel and include the page, task, browser and assistive technology if relevant. Please describe what prevented you from completing the task. You can reset the stored text size on the preferences page.
